Mapping the Design Process of A Brain Seizure

From the New York QS Show&Tell group: Robert Rabinovitz, a design teacher at the Parsons New School of Design and a designer himself, mapped the 40-minute period on January 19, 2007 when he experienced his first brain seizure. He takes us through his gripping story, moment by moment, with images of what he saw that day. Robert is also writing a play, writing a research report and planning a film about his experience of survival. Watch the video below to see how the design process saved his life.

The Brain Seizure

a short film by Alex Fischman Cardenas. I met Alex at Parsons while he was a student at NYU's film school here in NYC. We met over a semester or two with his small team in my office at Parsons and discussed a project to work together and revisit the complex moments of my brain seizure and surrounding personal issues related to the incident. Alex put together a wonderful piece of work here that tells a bit of this complex, compelling and emotional experience.
