sometimes hit a one track mind
and a four track tape
what will I do 
with the other three tracks
to make
seems like sometimes 
I got a two track mind 
they say two things
over dubbed and played 
over and over 
one line and another 
sometimes in sync 
and many times against another 
too much 
just too much 
to think
two tracks left 
and not sure what to fill them with
maybe empty space 
to let them live
maybe empty space

maybe a new place 
to sit things still
maybe a new trace 
of what’s to come
maybe a new place 
to be with you
maybe a new face 
to put on
